Most
people think that wealth means having a heap of money
in the bank. This might be true, but generally this is
not true. If you have a million rand in the bank, you
will earn about R5000 per month in interest. So having
a million in the bank will most certainly not provide
wealth. Wealth is measured in time and not money.
Your
wealth is the time that you will be able to maintain your
current lifestyle when you stop working today. ie. living
on a true passive income. So if you can do that for the
next six month, your wealth is six months.
There
are endless good opportunities available in South Africa
today. All we have to do is to decide which opportunity
we will use to obtain wealth.
If you do not have the money to start something big or you do not have the skills to start your own business then network marketing or MLM is the way to go. It is something anybody can do if they want to. The advantage of MLM is that you do the work once and you keep on earning an income for many years thereafter. It is a passive income, something you do not have to work for every day.
Imagine you can earn as little as R5,000.00 per month from MLM and it is a passive income. If you look at the example above it will be the same as having a million in the bank and earning interest from it.
Nowadays every Tom, Dick and Harry start their own network marketing business. Not all of them will make it and you should be very careful to join just any MLM. The most dangerous are "The Next Big Thing" companies which are about to launch. Or those that are about to launch and "it will be bigger than google" or "bigger than facebook". Most of those don't get very far anyway.

Which Opportunity to Choose?
Although you can make money from any MLM business, some are easier to operate than others.
Here are some of the things I look for before I join a MLM:
I personally dislike a MLM where I have to sell physical products like health products, soap, vitamins, etc. The main problem is that the prices are normally hugely inflated in order to pay commission to the whole structure. Some of the products are real good, but way too expensive. Unfortunately I have a conscious and I do not like to feel that I am ripping of people every time I sell them a product just so that I can earn my commission.

I found that an affordable business is better to join. It is easier to get other people to join an affordable business than a very expensive business. With MLM you will make your money by getting more people to join the business. Thus the easier this happens, the easier it is for you to make money.
The concept must be easy to understand and it must be easy for you to explain it to others.
There must be a proper system in place that will teach you and your new recruits how to do the business. This is one of the most important ingredients in the success of a MLM business and this is also the one mostly neglected by MLM companies.

You do not need any qualifications or special skills. All you need is an Internet connection and some free time.
Is it Possible to make Money with MLM?
Yes, it is.
Success in any of these businesses is possible if YOU are prepared
to take your business serious and DO SOMETHING.
Only YOU can determine your success in referral marketing,
nobody else. There is a general myth that referral marketing
is easy money and get rich quick schemes. Bad news, it is not.
Initially you will have to work hard. The GOOD NEWS is that
you will not have to do that for the rest of your life like
traditional jobs. If you focus on your referral marketing business
for at least one to two years, you will never have to worry
about your income for the rest of your life.
I suggest that you do not jump in and join all the referral
marketing businesses you can find. Start with the one you like
most. Grow it steadily until your reached a client base of at
least 200 or more people. At this stage your business will start
to grow automatically. Only now you can start to look at the
next one. Maintain the first one you started and gradually grow
the second.
Most network marketing manuals will warn you that you must
not join more than one program. I differ from that. I will
not build our dreams on one company. Anything can happen even
to the biggest and best of companies. Once you are used to earning
a passive income it will be devastated if that passive income
all of the sudden falls away. The other reason I join more
than one program is to mine our lead database to its full potential.
One person might not have money to join "A", but he
can be highly successful in "B".
Whatever you do, grow your business consistent and never ever
give up. The big money will only come 8 or more months later,
do not expect big money in your first couple of months. Some
people work hard for four months, see they are earning peanuts
and then give up. They stop just before the big money starts.
