This is a question regularly asked. I can understand that people
are a bit skeptical because this is something new that has never
been tried before in South Africa. Because people do not know
it they do not believe that something so simple can be made
to work.
Here are some points and documents to proof that U-Care is
legal:
- Signed
letter by Leon Louw - A letter by an attorney called Leon
Louw where he states that he cannot find anything illegal
about U-Care. If you search google for "law review project
leon louw" you will find enough info on this guy. Download
document, word format or PDF
format
- Charity
List - This is the amount that has been donated since U-Care
was launched in April 2005. You can call those charities and
ask them if they received such funds.

- Bank
reconciliation statement and receipts from charities. It also
contain some receipts from some of the charities. There are
too many for this document but they are available on request.

- U-Care
is not an article 21 company because they are not a charity
organization.
You will see in the above mentioned file at the recon block
that the money that goes into the U-Care account goes out
at the end of the month. They do not make any money.
They are not a charity, they render a service whereby they
collect money for charity and they pay the people (like you
and me) who help them to do so.
You can also see their web site at www.u-care.co.za
